The final countdown to DSBNi 2011 - Vietnam has started! It was a great turnout of excited family, friends, and team members at the "Send-Off BBQ" at Woodend Conservation Area this past Friday afternoon. Great weather and food (including a special cake or two) made for a very enjoyable affair. Final details were reviewed and now our immediate concern is now how to pack our bags, as we prepare to leave late Wednesday night (very early Thursday in fact), and will be in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam mid-morning on Friday.
Since December, this group of students has worked hard to develop as a team and to prepare for this much anticipated and challenging experience as global citizens and to realize how a small group of people can indeed make a big difference. THANK-YOU so much to the many people (family, friends, & DSBN staff), community partners, businesses, and Habitat for Humanity - Global Village - - all of whom have once again provided great support to DSBNi. There is a family and community in Vietnam who are very grateful for your support as well.
