Another Successful Day

After a second busy day on the home build, the blog team are getting a well deserved rest, calling it an early night after a great dinner of fresh local Vietnamese cuisine. A lot of sand was hauled, roof panels are restored, block walls are starting to rise, and fresh paint is bringing new life to tried and true doors. The family is visibly grateful and spirits of all are very high.  Much was accomplished today, and the local community could not be more friendly. Our bloggers will be back tomorrow with new stories and pictures that will surprise you. For tonight, here is one photo from our mid-day meeting as we get organized for the afternoon's tasks.

And this one from dinner tonight.

  2. you seem to be having a great summer weather in my tho. we are having rains for the last couple of days here in metro-manila due to a typhoon coming over for a visit. classes were suspended up to high school level in metro-manila today (july 26) because of heavy rains.... you were using chopsticks for your meal!!!! that is great. i am fairly adept with the use of chopsticks but a lot of us here are with the spoon and fork use.

  4. You all look sooooo tired! I'm sure as each day passes and you see the accomplishments you make, all the hard work you've put into preparing for this trip and the work you're doing each day, is so rewarding knowing that you are helping a family who really needs it.

Kevin, I'm very proud of you for taking the initiative to be part of this program. Love you. Mom.
